First of all, we would like to thank all of you that participated in the “Dining to Donate” program at Applebee’s last month, either by eating a meal or spreading the word. A very special thank you to the ones who came to the balloon release, in memory of the day Jonathon passed. That was truly a moment we won’t forget!
It is hard to believe that the 5th Jonathon’s Walk is a little less than a month away! Family and friends are working very hard to make this a walk to remember! Here is some important information. As always, another update will be sent out when more plans are determined.
Last year, our family did a car wash behind the Rendezvous Club, and it was very successful. This year, we are doing one on August 21st from 8a-2p (Of course, we have to be mindful of the Monsoon, so the time may change to 8a-12p.) This will be advertised in the local newspaper and on our Facebook statuses, so we look forward to possibly seeing you out there. If you would like to help us out or make a donation, please call my sister Arlene at 520.234.4688. You can also send her a message on Facebook. (Arlene Almarez Davidson) We will also have pledge sheets on hand, for those who go around and pick up pledges.
All classes of Tombstone High are invited to this year’s walk. It is a beautiful time of year to get together for a great cause and it could be like a little reunion! I realize the walk takes place, every year around Labor Day weekend, but for those who don't have any plans with their loved ones, and would like to see old friends/classmates, we would be happy to see you again!
Rebekah has designed a new poster, in three different sizes, and they are being distributed by friends and family all over town. There will be another advertisement in the newspaper, so keep your eyes open. She will also be on the radio promoting again, so keep your dial tuned to 100.9 K101.
**Jonathon's Walk 2010 is going to be bigger and better than in the past! If you would like to assist in anyway, by walking, donating, picking up pledge sheets, or purchasing products, call Rebekah at 520.227.6180. Please do the same if you wouldn’t mind setting up at the beginning or cleaning up at the end.
